Every year the New Jersey Council of Teachers of English holds a state-wide writing contest for high school students. This year’s prompt was “Disaster.” Junior Haley Mudrick received a Merit Award in the Personal Essay category. You can read an excerpt of her essay in the display case outside the English Office.
