Michael Lee ’15 & Haley Mudrick ’15 with novelist Roberta Clipper

Michael Lee ’15 and Haley Mudrick ’15 were honored at the NJCTE (New Jersey Council of Teachers of English) High School Writing Contest Award Ceremony at Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains on April 23, 2015. Haley’s Gold Medal personal essay, “If I Could Write to Truman Capote” and Michael’s Bronze Medal poem, “Why I Do My Homework,” were recited for the audience by trained orators. The guest speaker, novelist and Rider University professor Dr. Roberta Clipper, posed for a photograph with the winning authors.
