Blume ’19, Skagerlind ’14 & James ’14 Awarded Scholastic National Gold Medals in Arts & Writing

Three Newark Academy students were awarded Scholastic National Gold Medals: James Blume ’19 for Flash Fiction (“Are Rabbit Feet Really Lucky?”), Greta Skagerlind ’14 for Design (“Cut & Dry) and Brendan James ’14 for Photography (“Everglades Anhinga“). National recognition is awarded to the top 1% of the over 200,000 works submitted. Their work will be displayed at the “Art.Write.Now” National Exhibit in NYC for three weeks following an award ceremony on June 6, 2014 at Carnegie Hall.
