New Publications from Garvin ’15, Kwiatkowski ’15, Madloch ’15, Merrigan ’16 and Skagerlind ’14

ApprenticeWriterWork by four Newark Academy students was chosen from over 3,000 entries for publication in The Apprentice Writer, Vol 32, a literary magazine of Susquehanna University. The published poems include “Why I Pray on My Knees” by Amani Garvin ’15, “Speech Like Glitter” by Alicja Madloch ’15, “Symphony for the Lost” by Elizabeth Merrigan ’16 and “Love and Cars” by Greta Skagerlind ’14, who also had a short story in the anthology.

Alicja Madloch also published her poems “About Sleepless Nights” in the Black Fox Literary Magazine, Vol. 10, “Postmortem” in Canvas Literary Magazine and “Hipsters” in Vademecum Magazine.

Daniel Kwiatkowski ’15 published his poem, “Brothers” in the July/August issue of Cicada Magazine. Congratulations to all five students on their impressive summer publications.
