Wohlforth ’15 Published by Live Poets Society of New Jersey

Screen Shot 2015-02-12 at 1.47.44 PM“Lipstick Medals,” a poem written and performed by Mollie Wohlforth ’15 for the Creative Writing Morning Meeting Presentation on January 30, 2015, was accepted for publication by The Live Poets Society of New Jersey. The poem was selected as a “Topical Winner” for their “Of Love and Dedication” issue. The morning meeting poems were written on the themes of red and/or black. Mollie’s poem alludes to the color without naming it. Congratulations, Mollie!

The kiss I gave you
Before you got on the train
Left lipstick
On your cheek
Like a war medal
The one you got for being
Wounded.
