Poisson ’17 & Zaubler ’17 Win NJ Playwrights Theatre Contest

Plays by Gabrielle Poisson ’17 and Betsy Zaubler ’17 are two of four scripts selected as statewide winners in the 32nd annual NJ Playwrights Festival high school contest. Both plays will get a staged reading by professional actors during the Playwrights Festival on June 2, 2015 at 7pm. In preparation for the performance, Betsy and Gabi will be working with theatre professionals from Playwrights Theatre of NJ who will work on their plays as dramaturges, directors and actors. Gabi’s play, “Worn Thin,” was written during the 2014 Page to Stage June Term and revised in 2015 in the Creative Writing class. Betsy’s play “Thanksgiving Surprise” was written and revised in Creative Writing. Congratulations to both playwrights on this huge accomplishment.
