womanifestoSaVonne Anderson ’13, a current student at Fordham University, has published a book of essays entitled Womanifesto. In it, SaVonne comments on the experience of discovering womanhood by telling the story of her own journey. From the loss of her mother and overcoming shame of her body to learning to love and finding the power in her own voice, SaVonne tells her story. She gives much needed insight to what it’s like to be and become a woman and gives a voice to the experiences of silenced women around the world. In The Womanifesto, SaVonne encourages girls and women to be the best versions of themselves as they embrace the beauty in womanhood. The book was edited by her classmate, Alyssa McPherson ’13.
